She earned her degree in Classical Homeopathy from the Northwestern School of Homeopathy in 1998. In 2009, she graduated from the Hilton Johnson School of Health Coaching in Florida. She then graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Master's of Liberal Studies degree in 2010. Bette Jo also holds a certificate in Integrative Therapies and Healing Practices from the Center for Spirituality and Healing. Bette Jo is trained in homeoprophylaxis- a preventive program for children and administered by parents.
